ASTRONOMY

Chile Nature Expeditions hosts its presentations in San Pedro de Atacama, in northern Chile, at 2,400 meters above sea level. The region features an arid climate with over 300 clear days a year, providing exceptional conditions for stargazing.

We move away from the city lights to get closer to the Cordillera de la Sal, creating a magical natural setting with breathtaking views of the desert, mountains, and stars. Visitors can observe the sky with the naked eye or through a computerized 8-inch Celestron telescope, from where a large portion of the Milky Way can be admired.

Tours are conducted by our founders, Gustavo and Inés, professional guides with extensive experience developed over the past nine years working in prestigious hotels in San Pedro de Atacama, combining knowledge and passion for astronomy and nature.
